It is time for King Obama to exit the stage. The Anointed One will deliver his farewell
speech in Chicago and it will be an elaborate affair, unlike his farewell speech
to the military. We can expect all sorts
of lies and embellishments about his record.
Unfortunately for us, this will not be the last we’ll hear from this
narcissist. He has a legacy to
burnish.
Apologists in academia and print will crawl out of
the woodwork and proclaim the brilliance of Barack Hussein Obama. Progressives are already peddling this
nonsense that he was the right man, in the right place, at the right time for
the job. Why we couldn’t have survived
without the steady hand and calm demeanor of this captain. The only reason Obama’s legacy is perceived
as a failure is because of those rascally republicans.
I remember my sixth grade, history class –yes they
taught history back then – and I still cannot forget the hagiographic tripe
about FDR’s New Deal. Roosevelt was
lauded as a savior of the nation. The
country wouldn’t have survived without bailouts and all those alphabet agencies
dictating wage and price controls, not to mention all of those infrastructure
projects. Why, the United States would’ve
been a footnote in history if it weren’t for the federal government.
I didn’t question those assertions until I got older
and began to wonder why it was called The Great Depression and the reasons this
calamity came about and lasted as long as it did. After all, wasn’t FDR a great leader? Wasn’t he a genius? Why, he was the right man, in the right place,
at the right time for the job, so we were told.
Come to find out, this great leader’s policies were an impediment to a
recovery.
Barack Obama’s legacy will be protected. Today’s academia and the mainstream media
will make sure tomorrow’s sixth graders will be spoon fed the same kind of crap
I was forced to memorize when I was a kid.
After all, we are beneficiaries of FDR’s New Deal and progressives made
damn sure we knew it.
